ASRock and Intel held an event at the Newegg Gamer Zone in Diamond Bar, California. This was my first experience at the newly opened Newegg Gamer Zone this year. This area is a perfect venue to bring the community together and showcase products from brands like ASRock and Intel! At this event, we had the opportunity to check out some new ASRock motherboards, liquid CPU coolers, play games on systems powered by ASRock and Intel parts, and much more!

ASRock Z890 Taichi 10th Anniversary Motherboard

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of ASRock's Taichi series, the Z890 Taichi 10th Anniversary Motherboard was created. This new motherboard has the same feature set as the regular Z890 Taichi but offers an updated aesthetic. The coolers and design have been updated to a very stylish reflective design that definitely catches the eye. Beyond the new style, you'll get a 25-phase VRM with 110A power stages, six M.2 slots including one Gen5 slot, Thunderbolt 4, WiFi 7, and more. There is no information yet on whether ASRock will release this motherboard as a retail product.

ASRock Z890 Taichi Aqua Motherboard

This was my first opportunity to see the Z890 Taichi Aqua motherboard in person! This motherboard features water cooling channels, but what sets it apart is that it has removable VRM and M.2 water blocks for the first time. So when you add this motherboard to your system, you are not only cooling your VRM but also cooling the M.2 slot on top! Speaking of the VRM, you will find a 28+1+2 VRM design with 110A power stages. Another great thing about this motherboard is that the rear I/O only has Thunderbolt 4 and USB-C ports, with not a single visible USB-A port!

B860 Challenger WiFi with Color Option

ASRock’s B860 Challenger WiFi motherboard offers users the option to choose between black and white versions, which is something we generally do not see with these motherboards. Typically, the white version comes as its own series with a completely different feature set. The B860 Challenger WiFi and B860 Challenger WiFi White are exactly the same motherboard, with the only difference being the color. I really like this as it gives us options when choosing a motherboard. If you are looking for a micro-ATX motherboard, ASRock also offers the B860M Challenger WiFi and B860M Challenger WiFi White!

ASRock Liquid CPU Coolers

ASRock also showcased its existing liquid CPU cooler lineup. This included the Phantom Gaming 360 LCD, Steel Legend 360 LCD, Challenger 360 Digital, and Challenger Pure 360. We had the opportunity to review the Phantom Gaming 360 LCD and Steel Legend 360 LCD, and both are quite solid coolers. These coolers were also used in gaming systems!

Counter-Strike 2 Tournament

There was even a Counter-Strike 2 tournament at the event! This gave participants the chance to try out systems powered by ASRock and Intel hardware! If you didn't know that ASRock also produces power supplies, the systems used 80PLUS Gold certified, and of course PCI-Express 5.1 compatible Steel Legend series power supplies! The tournament was quite fun, and I placed 4th!
